Article Marketing is Alive and Well!
Google is the world’s largest search engine by a wide margin and your articles can appear on its pages in a flash, for free.
Article marketing is ubiquitous and yet there are some who say it no longer produces. There are even a vocal few who’ve proclaimed it dead.
In truth however, article marketing lives. It not only lives – it thrives when wielded properly.
Here’s how article marketing works.
Top sources of online traffic:
1. Search engines
2. Video
3. Forums
Search engines seek to return the most relevant results. Relevancy is based on:
1. Authority
2. Number of Incoming Links
3. Page Rank
The simple act of getting an article ranked on the first page of Google is roughly equivalent to obtaining one lead a day for any business.
Article Marketing: An Overview
1) Select a target market
● Pick an area that deeply appeals to you. Lots of time and effort goes into this process so make sure to choose a market that keeps you interested and focused.
● Like any business endeavor, you will experience highs and pitfalls. When things get rough having a target market you love will help you persevere.
2) Research the target market
● What does the market want? How does it want it?
● What does the market NOT want?
● What are common questions members of the target market have?
● What are the deepest, innermost passions of members of the market? What are their dreams and wishes?
● What difficulty or hardship besets the market?
● What can you provide to give the market what it wants?
3) Determine the keywords your target market uses when utilizing a search engine
4) Write a content-rich, 500-word article
● Relevancy is key here. The article must answer at least one question that the target market frequently asks.
5) Add the keyword phrases identified in your research.
● Seed keywords in throughout your article. As a general rule three to four times is appropriate – anything more may be construed as “keyword stuffing.” Placing too many keywords can be counterproductive.
● Your article must be fluid. An abundance of keywords makes the article awkward and hard to read. Write in natural language with an easy flow and rhythm.
6) Submit your article to article directories.
● Post it on your personal blog. Link it to authority sites.
● The goal is to leverage authority sites to generate leads for your business.
As effectual as this method is, it can be accomplished in just an hour a day. Article marketing can thus work equally well for a part timer or a full timer.
A properly marketed article is a wise investment. It is written once but yields returns months later, years later, even decades later.
Articles have the potential to open you to audience of scores or an audience of millions. Ah, the power of the internet. While searching for solutions the populace of the world will be able to find you and your answer. You just might be the answer to someone’s prayer.

Today it’s known amongst all serious business owners that all businesses need Facebook. This internet sensation is very low cost but grants the ability to build a financial empire.
Businesses of all types utilize it, from network marketing to bricks and mortar. Facebook’s viral nature means that your business can be thriving in just a few days. It is the largest, fastest growing website in history and your business should not be without it.
All network marketers dream of hitting a grand slam. We all want to discover and recruit great leaders. Our warm market is a known quantity but outside of that, generally the only ones already in contact with major players with the greatest MLM potential are only the most elite sales-people.
Our warm market is undoubtedly important, but the dream is to sponsor leaders with vision, drive and clarity of purpose. We seek those who already possess initiative and determination. They don’t need or wait to be told what to do. The truly great will teach as much as they learn.
How do we find these powerful individuals?
My son, Elliot, was the first person to tell me about meetup.com.
Meetup is a local community-building network. More than 7 million people have created and joined local Meetup Groups. Members share common interests and hobbies.
You can use meetups to help you create an almost limitless supply of high-quality, target leads for your business. In fact, when done properly, you never run out of warm market leads. Meetup leads will become part of your warm market so you are continually expanding your center of influence.
Top 3 Prospecting Tactics
The top earners in network marketing are also top prospectors. The two go hand-in-hand.
I enjoy prospecting. I do believe that the more time you spend prospecting, the better you’ll become at it. But you’ve got to have a servant leader’s mentality. You’ve got to love helping people and showing them how to solve their problems. You’ve got to love listening to people. If you don’t possess those attitudes, start working on them now because they are critical to your success in network marketing.
I must admit that I probably talk a little bit too much, but I’m getting better at it. I just love the whole communications aspect of marketing. I was taught long ago that God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason. We should listen twice as much as we talk. I’ve been implementing that ever since.
